Vocals are pronounced like in English, except for those that have a line on top, like ā, ī and ū, which are pronounced twice as long.

Consonants are pronounced like in English, with the following exceptions:

c is pronounced like the ch in charity ś and ṣ are pronounced like the sh in show ṛ is pronounced like the ri in ring ṅ and ṁ are pronounced with a nasal sound like the ng in song
